Meringhe - meringue

The meringues are not difficult to prepare. It just takes time and patience to bake them.
To prepare the meringues you will need the egg whites at room temperature, sugar and a pinch of salt. First, weigh the egg whites and take the same amount of sugar (50 g egg white = 50 g sugar). Put them in a large bowl with the salt and whipped with an electric mixer for 15-20 minutes.*
Fill the pastry bag (star spout) with the mixture and make the meringue on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 80 ° C and cook for 3 hours.
The meringues can be stored for a few days locked in a tin box.

* At this point, you can add to the mixture some drops food coloring or flavorings. Mix well.

Bon appétit!!
